Asset Recovery Specialist

ACT Mortgage Capital is currently seeking an experienced Asset Recovery Specialist to join our team.
At ACTMC an Asset Recovery Specialist is responsible for maintaining the highest level of diligence in accordance to the mortgage banking industry standards, The Asset Recovery Specialist is charged with the responsibility of collecting payments from delinquent borrowers and brokers and resolving loan repurchase request(s) by interacting with internal legal counsel—all with a highest level of professional conduct. The Asset Recovery Specialist must have excellent communication skills in addition to the ability to problem solve. The Asset Recovery Specialist must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline based environment and be flexible to changing priorities.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
• 4 Year College Degree and/or equivalent work experience (minimum 4 years)
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and handle a very high paced environment
• Minimum 1 year mortgage collections experience
• Clear comprehension of mortgage banking procedures and practices
• Computer literate; ability to efficiently utilize computer based skills
• Superior conflict resolution and problem solving skills
• Foreclosure and REQ experience preferred


Specific Job Functions:
• Responsible for effectively managing delinquent loan portfolio: telephone payment and document collection
• Communication with borrowers notifying them of past due loan payments
• Under the direction of management provide recommendation for loan workouts and deferments
• Communicate with brokers, investors and management regarding loan repurchase requests and broker premium recapture
