Asset Liability Management Expert

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NATIONAL EXPERT ON BANKING AND/OR CREDIT UNION OPERATIONS AND A NATIONAL EXPERT ON ASSET/LIABILITY MANAGEMENT AND PROFITABILITY ACCOUNTING.

Profitstar, a Jack Henry Company, is a leader in the development and delivery of financial planning and risk management software and consulting services.

Director of Asset Liability Management (ALM) needed for the Omaha, NE location. Position:

1. Provides individual consultation on Profitstar solutions and related subject matter. Identifies and interviews clients to understand needs; then customizes or develops agendas and deliverables to meet those needs. Provides price quotes and gets client authorization/acceptance for engagements. Prepares invoices, and documents consultation results and any necessary follow-ups. Is responsible for related accounts-receivable, reports and maintains records of consulting activities.

2. Leads the development and enhancement of the PROFITstar® and Budget Manager products by working closely with Development, Client Support, Marketing on implementing enhancements that will provide added value to the clients.

3. Serves as an “XP” customer for the Development team with respect to PROFITstar® and Budget Manager and ensures coordination with Development, Client Services and Marketing on product priorities and development.

4. Sells training and consultation services through a systematic program of identifying, approaching, interviewing, demonstrating, validating, negotiating, and closing prospective institutions and individuals. Assists in developing and executing a marketing plan to promote Educational services.

5. Researches regulatory rules, calculations, bulletins, accounting pronouncements, other government agency notices and industry trends that affect Profitstar, Inc. solutions and clients. Reports findings and incorporates them into training as appropriate. Actively seeks client feedback on Profitstar software systems. Submits enhancement requests and suggestions for development processes; tests software releases and maintains sample data sets; and actively coordinates such with Development.

6. Provides product expertise and coordination for the development of internal and external training solutions. Emphasis would be placed on distance learning solutions, including individual sessions via internet technology (like WebEx), webinars, and interactive computer-based tutorials (CBT). Develops marketing plans for, and actively sells, distance learning solutions.

7. Conducts product training for internal and external customers – both classroom and through use of distance learning solutions. May present at client conferences.

8. Assists in developing and presenting internal training (to Profitstar staff) on Profitstar software; relevant industry subject matter, regulations and trends; and new solutions. This includes developing agendas, training materials, and conducting sessions or delivering training through other media (such as CBT).

9. Provides back-up support for other department team members. This would include consultative support on profitability solutions for Client Support.

10. Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidate will meet the following job requirements:

1. Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field

2. 5 years’ of financial institution experience with a minimum 3 years’ direct experience relating to ALM solutions.

3. One to two years’ training experience preferred.

4. Demonstrated proficiency with PC’s, related software applications and Internet technology

5. Demonstrated proficiency in asset liability management accounting practices for financial institutions with a good understanding of organizational, product and customer profitability.

6. Service and sales aptitude.

7. Excellent verbal and written communications skills

8. Strong team play with high self-motivation skills.

9. Outstanding time management skills.

10. 20% to 30% travel required.
