Area Sales Manager (mortgage) SAN JOSE

The 7th largest mortgage lender in the U.S. is to continue growing up the ranks of the top over the next several years. We are looking for a top Professionals.

The purpose of this top professionals is to:

Directly supervises Loan Officers. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Supports and coaches team of Loan Officers and manages overall loan production of department.
• Decides the most effective manner for maximizing departmental loan production.

2. Participates in the solicitation of new loans directly from consumer borrower. Take and process loan applications.
• Determines best way to originate new loans from potential leads.

3. Negotiates rates within guidelines to close sales.
• Determines appropriate loan packages to win customer business while maintaining profitability.

4. Staffs and trains team within department.
• Determines best way to ensure that department has proper personnel to meet customer needs.
• Determines best way to train and instruct personnel about client's policies and procedures.

5. Coordinates workflow amongst different team members.
• Determines best use of individual team members’ time to ensure that departmental obligations are met.

6. Resolves conflicts between staff members.
• Determines causes of conflicts and decides on solution that is fair, equitable and effective.

7. Assists Staff members in carrying out their responsibilities.

8. Coordinates staff schedules and departmental coverage. Resolves scheduling conflicts.
• Determines most efficient allocation of staffing resources.

9. Monitors and maintains external and internal customer satisfaction with staff performance.

10. Participates in preparation of staff performance appraisals.
• Evaluates effectiveness of assigned staff.

11. Supervise team of Lending Officers or Consultants. Analyze consultant effectiveness and make recommendations for increasing sales.
• Determine strengths and weaknesses of team and decide on strategies for improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS

Four year Degree

Heavy mortgage success and experience managing Loan Officers. Entrepreneurial Professional that has managed such a successful Area/Region before.
