Area Manager I

This position will be responsible for directing and leading the MBS Client Services teams for SPG Client Services. The MBS Client Services teams are responsible for providing master servicing, bond administration and trustee services for SPG's residential and commercial mortgage back securities portfolio. This position will directly manage 4 - 8 senior Client Service Managers. Each of these directs manage teams of 40 - 100 team members.The responsibilities for this position include:
Lead, direct, and manage high performing teams. This focus includes attracting and developing high performers, establishing an environment to grow and retain team members, developing career paths, providing clear expectations and aligning resources to fulfill those business expectations. This focus will also include devising an appropriate structure (roles, expectations, and accountabilities) for the teams reporting into this position. The teams share processes, applications, and business partner support and matrix manage some direct resources to accomplish business objectives.
Execute the MBS services in a manner that consistently meets a) standard operating procedures, internal audit standards, and SEC regulations b) satisfies SPG's contractual obligations, c) mitigates risk to Wells Fargo, and d) annual efficiency goals. This focus will require collaboration with CTS Risk Management, technology resource leaders, client services' Application Management Group and Quality Assurance leaders, among other partners.
Collaborate with Sales and Business to provide superior customer service. Initially, the customer service standard will need to be redefined and established for all 3 divisions. Once established, this individual will lead the MBS client services team members to deliver this level of service consistently.
Monitor the financial and operational performance of this unit. This individual, with collaboration from the CTS Finance will be responsible for measuring and forecasting the economic and operational performance and then meeting those objectives.
Minimum Qualifications


* Minimum Qualifications:4 year degree plus minimum of 10 years work experience with 7 years management experience. Must have experience managing managers. Proven track record of change management, and must be able to communicate clearly the intention and benefits. Ability to persevere through resistance at all levels. Ability to lead the change management effort through influence and assurance that the changes are going to help us realize the long term benefits.
