Application Developer/Equity Derivatives

The US Equity Derivatives Trading desk of our client is looking for a very
strong application developer.
The successful candidate will be working on the floor with the Equity
Derivatives Traders, building tactical applications in C++ (both on Unix &
Windows), Excel / VBA and Sybase. Previous experience in Equity Derivatives
is essential as is the desire to work hard and be committed in a
pressurising situation.
Core skills must include C++, Sybase, Perl, Unix and experience in handling
large data-sets (static and real-time).
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have:
· In-depth knowledge of C++, Unix and Sybase.
· A bachelor’s degree in a numerate subject.
· Equity Derivatives business knowledge. The applicant will be expected to
work closely with the business and must understand the traders’ jargon.
· Very committed and hard-working.
· Additionally, scripting experience on Unix, preferably Perl, is a big
plus.
