Full Job Title: Advanced C, Advanced Computing Skills Management Title Advanced ComputingJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Phantom Works (PW)Job Description: Research, development and technology assessment in Security Technologies. Identify emerging solutions for the enterprise that can potentially benefit Boeing's processes and products. Work with Universities, vendors, and application developers to prototype new technologies, assess new products, conduct pilot studies and demonstrations with internal and external customers, and plan for the transfer and deployment of the technologies. Provide consulting services to the various Boeing program offices in the development and implementation of their information assurance solutions. Evaluates emerging technologies, conducts original research, designs and implements demonstration projects to validate benefits, and defines infrastructure requirements for production deployment of advanced computing methods and techniques in order to improve company products and processes. Collaborates with academic, government, and industry researchers to influence technology direction and advance the state of the art. Communicates and works closely with technical and management staffs of commercial, government, and military customers at all levels to ensure transfer of relevant technology to company organizations enterprise-wide. Competencies Candidates will be responsible for identifying and recommending advanced computing technology. They will plan, organize and propose projects that demonstrate the benefit of advanced technology. The candidate should have in depth experience in prototyping and developing one or more areas of information assurance (e.g. advanced protocols, cryptography, key management, intrusion detection, authentication and access control, high assurance computing and multi-level security technologies, or anti-tampering technologies.) Applicants with leadership abilities will be preferred. Possess the ability to program in ?C? and ideally other high level languages. Typically a person would have at least 5-10 years experience. Conduct R&D activities as individual. Demonstrate strong writing and presentation skills. Demonstrate the ability to interface with internal and external customers to present plans and statuses, represent the group in problem solving workshops, provide technology presentations and demonstrations, and obtain support for the Information Assurance program. As part of this job, the ability to obtain a Secret or higher clearance is required after a period of employment.
