Accounts Payable Manager

Senior Manager, Financial ReportingOur client is a multi-billion dollar Media/Entertainment conglomerate with offices throughout the world.

Senior Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial statements compliant with generally accepted accounting principles and SEC Reporting Requirements, conducting accounting research and assisting with the development of policies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation and review of consolidated financial information, including: a. SEC Filings: Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 11-K, Form 8-Ks, and other Registration Documents b.Private placements and similar offering memoranda c. Other: Securitizations, Pension Trusts, monthly management reports, ad hoc inquiries, etc.Maintenance of adequate support documentation to support financial releases.Suggest and implement improvements to system of internal controls and processes including disclosure controls.Respond to questions from external auditors, including data requests.Preparation of analytics, both internal (e.g., management reporting) and external (e.g., MD&A).Assist consolidation team as necessary in preparing the principle financial statements.Monitor developments and trends with respect to regulatory requirements, GAAP, and industry (media and entertainment) and assist in determining impact to internal controls and financial disclosures.Researching and responding to technical inquiries, including formulating accounting impact and documenting conclusions reached.Assist in development of financial reporting and accounting policies.Work closely with senior management on projects that impact the financial reporting process (i.e., implementation of new standards, implementation of consolidation system, etc.).$100,000-$115,000 plus bonus + benefitsRef: 1142683
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA a plus. Minimum of five – six years of accounting and/or auditing experience. Big “4” Audit experience a plus. SEC reporting experience a plus. Proficient technical skills with respect to generally accepted accounting principles and SEC Reporting requirements. Prior management experience with proven ability to motivate and lead others. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Technologically proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word). Hyperion Enterprise Software experience a plus.
