Accounting Officer II

Washington State Employees Credit Union announces the opening of an Accounting Officer II at our corporate office at 400 E Union Avenue in Olympia, WA.Position Summary:
Responsible for credit union balancing including daily branch balancing, supporting accounts payable, check printing and invoice data entry and supporting the department on a daily basis; assures quality member service through responsive and positive interaction; assists members in resolving problems by exercising good judgment and offering sound product and service solutions.
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 1:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Scheduling flexibility necessary to accommodate business needs.Closing Date:
Position will remain open until filled.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience/Certification:Requires: Two years of experience in the accounting field. Year for year college or business school training of the same type described may be substituted for experience. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and a demonstrated aptitude to learn new software. Sales/customer service training or experience.Preferred: Symitar experience and successful completion of accounting coursework.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Required: Proficient oral, written communication, and human relations skills. Must have the ability to calculate figures and percentages, be analytical and possess decision-making and problem solving abilities. Understanding of accounting functions. Ability to research and solve numeric discrepancies, and operate a 10-key accurately is required.
