Accounting Manager-Credit Union

Plano Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Supervisor -Accounting.
Position will perform Supervisor-Accounting functions which include but are not limited to:Direct daily accounting operations, including but not limited to ACH, Share drafts, ATM, GL, AP, and Mortgage funding.Schedules, trains, and monitors the work of staff in the department.Conducts employee reviews and develops individual employee goals.Completes various reports for internal and external purposes.Interacts with credit union vendors, corporate credit unions, and the Federal Reserve Bank.Maintains a good working relationship with other departments of the credit union.Ensures that all statistical reports, financial reports, and GL reconcilements are prepared by the accounting personnel in an accurate and timely manner.Ensures that department policies and procedures meet federal and state compliance regulations. Ensures staff is kept up to date on compliance regulations.Ensures credit union financial reporting is in compliance with the rules and requirements of auditors and examiners.Coach and mentor staff to achieve optimal performance.Performs other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance and 3-5 years of accounting experience in a credit union. 5 or more years of supervisory experience. Strong computer skills including a proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access. Experience in ACH Originations. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Solid understanding of GAAP. Ability to multi task. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work as a team with other departments
