AZ-Mortgage Guideline Specialist

We tap into these analytical and intellectual resources to offer our clients a broad range of distinctive loan packages at competitive prices.This individual will review, analyze, implement and modify rules for on-line underwriting engine including testing and installation in support of the business unit. This individual is responsible for producing program design and logic to facilitate or automate a specific business task or tasks as well as diagnosing and resolving problems with existing underwriting guidelines. Principal Duties and Responsibilities•Interpreting written underwriting guideline specifications
•Creating and implementing technical programming rules and guidelines in the automated Underwriting Engine from the guideline specifications
•Enhancing functionality or correcting logic errors in the existing automated engine.
•Creating and maintaining documentation as to system enhancements
•Work closely with the Underwriting and Secondary departments on new product roll out or enhancements
REQUIREMENTS
•Associates degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent programming experience;•Excellent Analytical Skills necessary
•Previous experience in a client/server or N-tier environment
•Experience with XML and SQL technology a plus
•Mortgage experience preferred, but not requiredOther
•Experience in diagnosing and resolving application and logic problems
•Understands technical instructions and terms pertaining to applications development•Excellent oral and written communication skills•Works well within a small team, as well as alone when applicable
•Must be able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
