Position Summary

 

The candidate will support the effort to continue the profitable growth of a retail credit card business by continually searching for opportunities to improve acquisition process, policy and profitability risk dynamics.  This position will assist in the risk assessment process for product growth initiatives and play a key role in validating existing criteria and incrementing profitability thresholds.  Further the position will be responsible for producing MIS to support an on-going decision process evaluation.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Including Direct Reports

 

Evaluates and makes recommendations to optimize approval rates, automation rates, credit quality trends and the corresponding new account credit quality associated with the various portfolio acquisition strategies, products and channels within program objectives.

Evaluates and makes recommendations to optimize performance by score and key credit performance criteria to support acquisition credit policy development.

Evaluates and makes recommendations to optimize vintage performance and loss trends to targeted performance levels to ensure that the decision strategy is delivering the anticipated risk and return.

Evaluates acquisition score model performance and predictability.

Design and monitor champion/challenger strategy performance to identify and make recommendations regarding optimization opportunities.

Designs, validates and monitors origination strategy installations.

Forecasts acquisition vintage performance to control portfolio credit risk.

Initiates and oversees risk MIS and ad-hoc analysis including statistical programming, data gathering and data mining.


REQUIREMENTS


Education and/or Experience

Bachelors degree required with a specialization in Business, Statistics, Economics or Mathematics

Masters degree highly desirable

Relevant financial services industry experience a plus

Work experience in a team environment
