AVP Quality Assurance

The AVP Corporate Services-Quality Assurance develops plans, procedures and programs for monitoring and evaluating the accuracy and reliability of applications to ensure product performance standards are maintained. This team member will have contact and interaction with all levels of management and departments across the organization. JOB DUTIES · Define and implement QA department objectives, policies and goals. · Establish standardization of processes/practices and delivery and continuously improve the overall effectiveness of QA. · Establish, manage, and report on key quality metrics. · Establish processes and procedures for defect tracking software and ensure that defects are properly maintained. · Ensure that resources and materials committed to projects are appropriately aligned. · Prepare and manage forecasts and budgets for area of responsibility. · Responsible for the day-to-day activities within the quality assurance department. · Provide leadership, direction and decision making for the Quality Assurance Team for problem resolution. · Maintain communication and partner with IT and other business units related to the quality of applications. · Manage team members by establishing annual performance goals, allocating resources, assessing annual performance, and determining individual merit, incentive and/or promotional increases. OTHER IMPORTANT DUTIES · Identify opportunities and develop tools and programs that will increase department efficiency. · Keep abreast of current trends in the market and developments in the profession. · Perform projects and additional duties as assigned or directed. · Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge – · Advanced knowledge of all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle process. · Advanced knowledge of formalized QA methodology; technology trends and testing tools. · Advanced knowledge of various software testing including Black/Gray/White Box testing, performance testing and automation testing. · Experience with the Company highly desired. Skills – · Ability to use appropriate analysis, judgment and logic when solving problems and making decision. · Ability to plan, execute and improve work processes to ensure achievement of business objectives. · Ability to provide leadership through influence, inspiration, collaboration and teamwork. · Ability to listen actively and communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing. · Ability to relate well with others, build relationships and constructively interact with a variety of people and situations. · Ability to proactively achieve goals and objectives, which positively impact AmeriCredit’s business results. · Ability to demonstrate integrity while successfully managing work demands and pressure; continually pursue personal development. · Presentation development and delivery to include senior executive audience. Experience - · Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. · Seven plus years work experience in Finance, Information Technology, Lending, Quality Assurance or related industry. · Experience in dealing with multiple business units and diverse employee population. · Five plus years previous management experience required working with exempt professionals.
