Assistant Vice President, Interest Rate Risk Management
This position is responsible for the development, enhancement, and/or utilization of quantitative financial tools to support risk management and portfolio design activities. Assures that adequate resources and training are provided sufficient to insure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and that such commitment to compliance is fully communicated to the staff, internal and external clients and other parties within the manager’s area of responsibility.Specific Duties:

Problem solving and enhancement of existing models.

Developing and testing code to implement tools.

Interdepartmental coordination and collaboration on development projects.

Model validation/evaluation.

Data manipulation.

Post-graduate degree or equivalent.Requirements:

3+ years related experience.

Graduate degree in Engineering, Science, or Financial Economics is preferred; undergraduates from engineering or science with substantial experience and/or certification (e.g. CFA) will also be considered.

Very high level of analytical and numerical training.

Ability to work in interest-rate risk management, asset-liability management, mortgage prepayments/defaults, portfolio optimization, economic capital and profitability and to develop special expertise in one or more of the aforementioned areas.

2+ years experience working in the fixed-income area with a leading financial firm.Other required skills:

Strong computer skills (high-level programming language, SQL and EXCEL).

Experience working with large data set in a scientific and/or commercial environment.

Familiarity with financial derivatives, modern portfolio theory, structural models of credit, numerical simulation and optimization techniques.
