ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT-PLANNING, ADMINISTRATION AND COMPLIANCE OF HEALTH & WELFARE PROGRAMS

Looking for your next step, this position requires a bright, enterprising professional that will help with the automation process into Ceridian system.

•Responsible for the administration of the Health Plans (Medical, Dental, Life, STD and LTD and supplemental programs.) This includes the accounting, budgeting, billing and claims administration. Responsible for keeping up to date with the laws and regulations that govern these programs

•Responsible for the administration and compliance of the Retirement Programs (Pension, 401k, Supplemental Savings, SERP) This includes but is not limited to, the accounting, funding, budgeting, billing and monitoring of the vendor trust reports, Responsible for keeping up to date with the laws and regulations that govern these programs

•Supervises the Benefit Administrator’s workload and resolves any discrepancies that arise from this position
•Primary contact with Health Care consultant/brokers for Health & Welfare programs
•Primary contact with actuarial services on retirement benefit calcs
•Bank Privacy Officer in relation to PHI and HIPPA
•Maintains all records and plan documents related to the health and welfare programs
•Coordinates all related activities for Health, Welfare and Retirement audits (internal & external)
•Coordinates the valuation process with appropriate vendors
•Writes and maintains up to date procedures for the health and welfare programs
•Administers the health fair and open enrollment meetings
•Responsible for keeping the Benefit section of the HR intranet web site up to date
•Acts as Secretary to the Retirement Committee setting the agenda and preparing the minutes
•Works on special projects and other work related items as requested by manger
•Responsible for ensuring that terminated staff receive the proper COBRA and related documentation in a timely manner
•Responsible for up dating the FCD monthly budget report
•Manages the job related vendors to ensure services are being delivered in an efficient and timely manner

REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE:

•5-7 years experience in employee benefit management.
•Undergraduate degree in related field
•Expert knowledge of benefit strategy, plan design, and operational details
•Effective and professional written/oral communication & presentation skills
•Strong accounting skills


Must be proficient with excel and word. Experience with HRIS systems and report writing capabilities.
