AST Loan Technician

NOVASTAR MORTGAGE, a leader in the mortgage industry, is looking for a talented individual to join our AST team within the Servicing Division of NovaStar Mortgage, Inc. This ever-growing division services NovaStar's already 10 billion loan portfolio!






The AST Loan Technician provides various administrative support tasks associated with the Servicing Division.



Responsibilities include:


Printing, separation and distribution of daily collection reports.


Preparation, mailing and distribution of NSFs, returned checks and other letters, as requested.


Maintain Western Union & Speedpay payment & reconciliation tracking.


Data entry of information required for printing certified cards for mass NOI mailings.


Data entry for printing and or sending various letter campaigns.


Maintaining and responding to assigned customer correspondence and credit bureau disputes.


Filing.


Assist Supervisors with month end reports.


Speedpay/WU Administrator. Print out and analyze Speedpay/WU reports.


Calculate and distribute the daily delinquency statistics.


Create Various Spreadsheets for the servicing team.


Maintain qualitative and quantitative requirements for the position.


REQUIREMENTS
Travel Percentage: 0%Qualified candidates must have the following:


A minimum of one year of experience in a support related role.


Mortgage servicing experience preferred.


Good organizational and analytical skills a must.


Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and type 40 words per minute.


Ability to work quickly, accurately and with attention to detail in a high volume environment.


Strong verbal and written communication skills.


High School diploma or equivalent required.
