Wet Friction Brake Expert

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF MICHIGAN!COMPANY WILLING TO PAY TO RELOCATE!!This position is responsible for the technical aspects of the corporate friction material program and a technical liaison for separator plates. The incumbent provides technical and analytical expertise/consultation for clutch and brake design, analysis, cost reduction, and problem resolution throughout the organization. Directs supplier and test efforts supporting above and manufacturing process changes and is responsible for identification, validation, and implementation of new friction materials for the Corporation. Success requires leadership and/or support small teams with multiple Engineering (inside and outside of Business Unit), Global Purchasing, and Supplier personnel. There are opportunities to develop a network of contacts with multiple business units and suppliers.


Requirements:

BS in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience and 4 + years experience in design and development of mobile power train components(transmission,axle,brake). Experience with component testing ,material testing,friction materials and manufacturing process control methods a plus. Must possess strong initiative, customer service, communication, planning and organizing skills, and the ability to work independently, troubleshoot and problem solve!!MUST HAVE STRONG CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTATION COMMUNICATION. STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF TRANSMISSION AND BRAKE SYSTEMS. Must be a wet friction expert!!!
