Website Project Manager
The Cobalt Group—a leading provider of online retailing and search engine marketing solutions for the automotive industry—seeks qualified applicants for the position of Project Manager (PM). The PM manages Cobalt’s strategic website implementation projects from post-sale kickoff to activation, serving as the primary point of contact between Cobalt’s clients and the builder team. The PM is responsible for project planning, scheduling and coordination, and completing assigned projects within 30-day turnaround times and on target with revenue goals. This position is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a basic project management methodology background to gain experience and build their career in an exciting growth industry.Key Responsibilities
The PM understands and collects customer website requirements, manages project schedules, and coordinates customer-requirement discussions with the sales team. The PM is also responsible for regional queue revenue management to corporate plan and preparing and completing required project documentation, including success metrics and issue tracking/resolution. Must be able to manage timelines and scope for 30-35 concurrent projects, handle a rapid pace, and accommodate scope change as circumstances demand. Because the PM has extensive interaction with Cobalt’s automotive dealer clients and with field sales regarding order expectations, requirements and project status, this position requires a candidate who can respond professionally, patiently, logically and quickly to requests or questions received in person, by phone or email from Cobalt clients and personnel.Essential Background
The right candidate has project management experience and can execute successfully as a project coordinator, team leader, business analyst, and nexus of business communication. Excellent verbal and written skills are essential, including: the ability to interact with high-level internal and external contacts of technical and non-technical backgrounds; proven presentation skills to diverse audiences; and excellent customer service skills. This position requires strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and a big-picture understanding.Required Skills3-4 years experience as a project manager, customer service representative, or project coordinator. Experience with industry-accepted project management methodologies and project management certifications are a plus.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio). Oracle ERPS (Order Management/CRM modules) experience preferred.
Baseline understanding of online retailing a plus.
