Transmission Technician

Purpose: Aerotek Automotive is currently seeking an Automotive Technician for long term position with one of the BIG 3 automakers.


This technician will be supporting experimental transmission development performing teardown and build of transmissions. They will be working in a garage setting doing mechanical support for product development. It requires an understanding of all vehicle systems with an emphasis on transmissions/powertrain. An understanding of vehicle test instrumentation and general electrical/electronic tools. Automotive mechanic experience is ideal.

Candidates for this position must have at least seven years of experience. Candidates for this position are required to have a valid driver license and their own tools.

In order to be considered for the job, candidates must be willing and able to pass a hair follicle drug test and background check.
