Tire Specialist

JOB PURPOSE: To help maintain profitable inventory of tires in order to perform installation both in the shop and at customer locationsRESPONSIBILITIES
To check in tire stock orders in an error free manner and to advise shipping/receiving specialist of any discrepancies or changes on orders
To shelve tires in proper locations for ease in locating, and to relocate or rearrange if necessary
To keep tire area clean, orderly, and safe and secure
To perform weekly cycle counts on tires to maintain accuracy
To keep the tire inventory accurate on the truck
To keep tire truck clean and presentable
To maintain pressTo schedule and maintain proper service to the tire truck.
Assure that all tools including dies, stands, etc are kept in good condition, and that Parts Manager is advised when replacement is necessary
To fill out tire paperwork with complete model, serial numbers, hour meter readings, and note any repairs needing to be done
To keep a current customer list so that cold calls and follow-ups can be done on a regular basis
To contact customers in area that tires are scheduled in to obtain additional sales
To visit customers in area where tires have been installed
To keep a call report of visits which will be turned in weekly to the Parts Manager for reviewMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
High school graduate
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability
Must be able to lift 100 lbs on regular basis
Good Driving record
Detail oriented
Self motivated
MVR and Drug Screen required
