Technical Illustrator

Audatex has an immediate need for a qualified candidate to fill a Technical Illustrator position on our Database Development team. The technical illustrator will work in a production environment creating technical illustrations for automotive collision estimating software by utilizing manufacturer catalogs, photos and brochures. Illustrations will consist of individual automotive parts shown in an exploded view format.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and background:

-Ability to speak, read and write fluent Mandarin

-Proven ability to create two-dimensional, high-quality line art

-Experience creating and modifying isometric line drawings

-Ability to quickly learn and follow methodologies and procedures specific to our internal illustration development program

-Strong familiarity with AutoCAD

-Ability to interact with members of database team and work from database source information/data

-Basic PC skills

-Great communication skills

-Self-starter with experience working on a team

-Deadline driven

-Automotive background a definite PLUS

-Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or related experience in drafting, graphic design, commercial art, or other related technical field plus 2-5 years practical experience
