Job Description
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Manage Company owned store operation to generate increased return on investment, improved market penetration, and excellent customer service. Provide positive leadership to all store employees to encourage sales and profit growth. Fully implement and support NAPA and GPC programs and follow and enforce GPC policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
1.Achieving Quotas (Must be able to work in a quota driven environment)Achieve sales quotaAchieve net profit quotaAchieve inventory turnover quotaAchieve A/R collection quotaAchieve gross profit quota
2.Customer and Company Relations/Sales and Marketing Activities
Fully and quickly address customer sales and service questions, problems and opportunities through all available resources.Routinely contact and visit customers to foster improved communications and build upon relationships, especially with NAPA AutoCare Dealers and National Accounts.Insure all customers receive courteous, efficient service from all store employees.Work to improve profitability and success of stocking dealer accounts utilizing all resources of the NAPA program.Promote, implement and sponsor dealer training clinics and seminars.
3.Managing/Protecting Company Assets
Insure proper maintenance and protection of Company store facilities, vehicles, equipment, and other physical assets of the Company.Minimize operating expenses and use Company funds and assets in the Companys best interest.At all times, uphold the Companys integrity through accurate paperwork and in store security measures.Follow and enforce all Company operating procedures and policies and reporting requirements. (Security Program, Hazardous Materials Program, etc.)Adequately maintain, secure and submit all documents, reports and other administration required to operate the business and as requested by management.Insure sales areas in store is clean and properly merchandised and stockroom area is clean and orderly.Protect the companys cash receipts through timely deposits and in store security measures.Monitor and/or pursue the collection of accounts receivable, acurately complete daily paperwork and submit on a timely basis.
4.Managing People
Hire and promote quality personnel and set high performance standards.Use Company training resources to train and develop personnel to perform efficiently and effectively.Peronally monitor the development of employees to insure that recognition and promotions are accomplished.Regularly meet with all employees to communicate Company goals, expectations and philosophy of customer service.Understand and utilize the Companys personnel policies in regard to all employee activities, including incentives, performance counseling and corrective action.Establish and maintain a relationship with each employee to help monitor morale, solve problems and improve teamwork.

Minimum age of 18.Must be a US Citizen or have legal resident status.Pre-employment drug screen and back ground check required.Must be willing to work retail hours including evenings, some weekends and holidays.Must have a valid drivers license and provide own transportation.Possess personal drive, self motivation and take initiative to accomplish all Company goals.Possess a willingness and ability to learn.Posses analytical problem solving skills.Provide creative and innovative solutions to opportunities and problems.Posses high character and always deal fairly with both employees and customers.Consistently and enthusiastically communicate a positive sales attitude.Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills in a professional manner.Have a well-groomed,neat appearance, complying with NAPA policies on conduct and dress.Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced setting; be competitive and have the ability to work calmly under pressure.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Prior knowledge and/or management in Aviation/GSEPrior automotive background or knowledge, ASE (P2) Parts Certification is a definite plus.Prior knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems helpful.Have a working knowledge of the part of the city the store services and be able to operate a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission (if required).Be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes to ensure proper selection and delivery of parts, including identifying sequences of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.Handle difficult customers and problems in a complimentary manner.Capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes of up to 60 pounds.Able to utilize an adding machine and process cash, check, and credit card transactions.Capable of operating the computer point-of-sale system and cataloging.Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence.Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.Able to work on feet (stand and walk) for entire assigned work shift.Capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes of up to 60 pounds.Able to repeatedly bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and able to reach upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.Able to turn brake drums and rotors, and repair/make up hydraulic hose assemblies (if appropriate).Able to move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment with moving aids designed to move such items, including hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 60 pounds.Able to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.Able to stand and walk for entire work shift.Perform all other tasks as assigned by management.
