Sr. Soft. Eng. (2 positions) C# .net & Embedded Controls

Position #1) Sr. Software Eng.
Independently design and develop moderately complex products as an individual contributor working within a larger project team. Prepare input and, at times, conduct design reviews in conjunction with the project team and be active in proposal preparation and estimates. Manage schedule and project planning details at the individual contributor level. Work well with disciplines outside major field of emphasis to develop projects on time and within budget. Must have very good design and development skills and experience.

- 3 to 5 years experience in Windows software application programming.
- 2 years or more Visual C++ experience.
- 1 year or more C# and .NET development experience.
- Object oriented development experience.
- Experience using HTML.
- Experience using UML based development environment.
- Secondary development technologies include MFC, COM, XML, and DHMTL.

Desirable Qualifications:
* Interest in collaborative environments and iterative development methodology
* Prior experience with Windows Forms in the .Net Framework is highly desired
* Experience with web application development technologies such as ASP.Net and SQL Server would be an advantage
* Some travel may be required

Key Accountability:
Take major design role in key product development projects. Develop and execute development plans as an individual contributor under the guidance of more senior members of project team.
REQUIREMENTS
Position #2) Advisory Software Eng.

Position Overview:
Assists in achieving Software Development objectives by designing, testing, debugging, and documenting the software aspects of electro-mechanical systems; managing projects; providing guidance and support to lesser experienced software engineers; represents the third level into Software Development.

Required Skills:
* Requires thorough knowledge and proficiency in the ‘C’ programming language, embedded firmware development tools and environments, and real-time embedded microprocessor based machine control systems.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
* 6-10 years experience in software programming, design, and analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Direct experience with developing electromechanical office equipment or instrumentation (a definite plus).

Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to interpret and convey technical concepts in an easily understood manner, both verbally and in writing; clear and concise verbal and written communications; ability to make presentations
* Good analytical and debugging skills; strong software aptitude and creative ability.
* Good organizational skills; ability to coordinate others to accomplish objectives.
* Self-motivated; ability to work under general supervision; receptive and supportive of team efforts.
* Requires use of computers and hand tools, such as emulators, oscilloscopes, meters, voltage meters, screwdrivers, etc.
