Saturn of Alexandria and Saturn of Woodbridge are part of the Lindsay Automotive Group. The Lindsay Group is a family owned business operating in the Washington area for over 50 years. We have a strong reputation with the buying public and are well known in our industry for positive employee treatment and retention.

Saturn is on the verge of building its product portfolio from basically one model at it's inception to a total of 8 models in the next 7 months.

We have a stable sales organization, something that is not typical in our business. Many people that sell Saturns say:

" I am interested in the way that Saturn does business. I like the fact that its about no hassle, no haggle relationship selling. I never really thought about selling cars other than Saturns."

The candidate that we seek would obviously enjoy customer contact, be able to follow processes, handle accounts, develop phone/internet skills etc.

Good candidates for this position may or may not have Automotive selling experience. People that have handled phone sales, sold mortgages or real estate or have had some experience in areas of retail sales often excel in our environment.

We also have a few consultants who have had Car Selling experience before they joined us. Most of them were disillusioned with too many hours, lack of management support, lack of autonomy in dealing with customers, strict commission pay plans and a lack of emphasis on customer treatment.

With Saturn it is well established that we do not negotiate our suggested prices. Our philosophy is to establish a fair price for our products and let customers compare other dealers "discounted" prices. We sell a good value, a fair deal, excellent customer treatment and exemplary service after the sale. This has served us very well over the years.

We are different from traditional dealerships in the sense that we pay a base salary and then a "unit bonus". We also pay bonuses on "customer handling ratings". We know that salespeople like to be competitive but also like to have some "income stablity". We feel that this combination makes for happy, productive and longterm sales consultants.
