SERVICE MANAGER

The Service Manager is responsible for control of all aspects of the service department in a manner that provides Excellent Customer Service. The primary purpose is to manage the service department personnel through team development while establishing realistic cost parameters and providing excellent customer service.
Principal responsibilities include:
Responding to customer and management requests
Department personnel
Technical expertise
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Education: Prior training or experience in the application, operation, and maintenance of engine generators, in the principals of electricity is preferred, and a working vocabulary of basic electrical terms is essential. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Applications would be helpful.
Experience: Ideally, the Service Manager will have experience in management of personnel in a technical service industry. Prior experience in the engine repair industry, electrical contracting, or electrical supply market would also be helpful.
Skills and Knowledge: The Service Manager must be able to assist internal and external customers with the correct selection of equipment. The Service Manager must be highly computer literate. Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and achieve are also required. The Service Manager must be highly motivated and have good organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working effectively in teams is essential.
Certificates, Licenses and/or Security Clearances required: Hazmat certification on current drivers’ license preferred.
