Regional Director of Traffic Management

The Purpose of the Regional Director of Traffic Management is to improve retail vehicle sales volume (new & used) in Sonic Automotive dealership through effective execution of best practice sales processes: Internet, Phone, Walk-In customers.

Achieve year-over-year sales unit gains in two sales Regions - total retail sales and Internet sales.

This individual will be responsible for two sales Regions and 30+ dealerships in Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. Proactive dealership consultation / training to achieve year-over-year sales increases.

Training
- Ongoing dealership training and consultation
- Best Practices, marketing fundamentals (product-price-promotion), sales process/tasks, etc.
- Performance consultation with dealership, Regional, and Division personnel:
- Review performance reports and identify dealerships needs
- Note performance gaps and opportunities
- Identify next steps and accountability for results
- Provide input/recommendations to achieve sales objectives
- Facilitate orientation and onboarding of new Internet sales personnel
- Provide input and recommendations for technology needs

Effective Marketing
- Maximize ROI of eCommerce expenditures
- Web site lead generation and $ PUR

Additional Responsibilities
- Spearhead outbound CRM/eCommerce marketing
- Interface with Sonic Home Office
- Embrace/execute Corporate initiatives

Qualifications

Extensive retail automotive experience and a successful track record in dealership eCommerce sales:

- Complete understanding of dealership Internet sales operations/processes
- Capable of staffing and running a dealership Internet sales operation
- Successful track record in dealership sales/sales management.
- Complete understanding of sales fundamentals and process, from meet & greet to vehicle delivery.
- Demonstrated success in executing a standardized sales process for walk-in, phone, and Internet sales opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, preferably the eLead CRM and WebLink tools.
- Capable of calling on multiple dealership accounts to provide constructive/ongoing support
- Ability to achieve results through training and consistent follow-up
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive travel up to 75% - Must be willing to travel a minimum of 3 days/3 nights per week. Region encompasses the greater Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas metropolitan areas.
- Must be capable of handling many tasks and prioritizing assignments
- Demonstrated leadership skills - Lead by example and Sell, not tell.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report.
