With a focus on Quality, we are looking for talented, experienced Quality Engineers for our SYRACUSE, NY LOCATION to foster and fulfill our commitment to quality products and total customer satisfaction. As a Quality Engineer, you will plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Design and conduct inspections and testing analysis of components to assure the quality of the assigned product.
Establish program to efficiently evaluate precision, accuracy and repeatability of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
Review all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
Lead problem solving utilizing tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Shainin and other structured problem-solving techniques.
Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality activities.
Prepare and present technical and program information to team members and management.
Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities.
Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
Minimum of three years related experience in Quality Systems, Manufacturing, Lean Techniques or Engineering
Must be highly analytical and skilled at problem solving
Experienced with Lean Manufacturing, Shainin, and/ or Six Sigma techniques is preferred. Certifications and training in these areas is highly desirable.
Strong Mathematical Skills & Writing Skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word. Access and PowerPoint are a plus!
Knowledge of customer’s trends, perceptions, needs and expectations.
Assign the highest priority to customer satisfaction while meeting commitments to achieve business objectives.
