Quality Control Inspectors

Description: Smiths Aerospace - Mechanical Systems, manufactures and assembles precision machined parts, landing gear, structural members and other related aerospace components and assemblies in support of military and commercial aircraft and helicopters. We are expanding our horizons and seeking QC INSPECTORS in our Santa Ana and Signal Hill facilities. NDT Level II: Will perform radiographic inspection set-ups and examinations, liquid penetrant and nital etch tests. Will facilitate inspections to support production requirements. Requires RT, PT and nital etch background, Requires 3+ years experience, preferably in an aerospace. Must be certifiable immediately per Level II in the disciplines per MIL-STD 410/ASNT are mandatory.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: Set up, test and inspect complex hardware, including casting and forging layout. Ability to use all types of conventional and CMM inspection equipment. Ability to perform mathematical calculations, true positioning, tolerance stack ups, compound angles, and basic tolerancing. Will perform receiving inspection, perform F.A.I. on vendor parts, assist in tool calibration and control bond room inventory material. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex drawings, and specifications. Brown & Sharpe/PCDimas experience required. Requires strong surface plate and layout capabilities.
