Product Designer

If this person is you, please continue reading.U-Haul International is seeking a product designer to assist in the design of the U-Haul product line. Must consider factors such as safety, structural integrity, strength of materials, load stresses, utilization of space, feasibility and economy of manufacture, relative ease of assembly, inspection, replacement, and repair. Must be able to prepare design outlines and layouts from verbal instructions and general concepts. Write descriptions and parts lists for the purpose of prototyping, drafting, and purchasing. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have knowledge of materials, be motivated, and have a positive attitude. Must also possess the willingness to learn the product line and manufacturing processes. Must also have strong verbal and written communication skills.
