Process Engineering Manager

Plans, conducts and oversees engineering projects, manufacturing assignments, which are complex and difficult and require expert application of engineering. Operates with side latitude for non-reviewed technical and budget action, decision, and reallocation of resources on current project assignments. Provides leadership, technical advice and counsel to other engineers. Directs and manages the work of assigned professionals and non-exempts. Reviews progress and produces progress reports, budget and release reviews against plan for assigned products and projects. Corrects deficiencies and takes actions to bring performance back to plan. Performs such individual assignments as the Plant Manager may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities. Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective work relationships within the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrity, and measuring the work performed within the department and ensures adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality. Must carry out duties per ISO/TS16949:2002 requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Broad technical and analytical engineering experience as applied to product design, manufacturing and process development as usually evidenced by completion of an engineering degree. (BSME, BSIE, BSSE). May have completed engineering registration. In depth understanding or administrative functions including accounting and human resources. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
