Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Fixed Operations, the Parts Manager will direct, coordinate, and supervise counter and outside sales, shipping and receiving, selling and distributing car parts to customers at required levels of profitability.



Essential Responsibilities:
Create sales opportunities in the Parts Department.
Delegate work assignments while providing appropriate authority to Outside Sales and Counter Representatives, Shipping and Receiving Clerks, utilizing their abilities, knowledge and background to accomplish departmental responsibilities.
Review reports on status of monthly sales.
Utilize existing controls to maintain parts inventory and current inventory levels in accordance with approved cost controls, as well as, relieve the inventory of slow and non-moving stock.
Approve invoices for payment upon receipt of parts.
Oversee parts warranty procedures.
Review parts costs and control retail pricing of parts with guidance from the centralized process.
Team up with Human Resources to recruit, select, hire and train new Associates.
Appraise Associate performance and make recommendations for status and/or salary adjustments.

Perform additional projects as needed. REQUIREMENTS


Parts Manager

Qualifications:
Requires HS education or equivalent.
Associates degree and four years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of experience or a combination of education and experience preferred.
Excellent customer service, good communication and multi-tasking skills essential.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
Valid DL required.
Previous automobile dealership parts management experience desired and knowledge of automobiles helpful.
Dependable and reliable attendance required.
