POSITION SUMMARY: Outside Sales Rep must understand the retail business, have parts knowledge and work well with the public. Customarily and regularly engaged away from Company making sales and obtaining orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Sales Rep is responsible for selling all lines of automotive service industry products, motor and chassis parts, tools, equipment, chemicals, refinishing materials, supplies and accessories to garage and service station, car dealers, truck and bus fleet repair shops, jobbers in a designated territory.
Makes calls at frequent intervals on a sequence basis, sells regular customers and prospects within territory making frequent calls to show samples, discuss problems and follow up on promotions to obtain orders.
Responsible for promoting products and programs to customers in addition to selling the store's services.
Prospects for new accounts and customers within territory. Increases sales as well as market penetration through new and existing accounts.
Outside Sales Rep is responsible for obtaining basis credit information and outlining the products and services that our Company has to offer.
Keeps informed about the items, the prices, quality, ordering unit part number, and other selling features.
Maintains order book, catalog, merchandising samples, core reports, and price lists in good condition.
Sales Rep spends time making calls and attends meetings with supplier's salespersons improving product knowledge.
Attends Company sales meetings.
Keeps management informed about competitor's activities and practices in territory.
Knows, understands, interprets and complies with Company policies and practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful Outside Sales Rep candidate will have enthusiasm, a desire for exceeding customer expectations and demonstrated ability to sell products and services.
