Mechanical Design Engineer

Honda Engineering North America, Inc. (EGA) was established in 1988 to support Honda's commitment to self-reliant operations in North America. EGA provides engineering services and production tooling and equipment to Honda's North American manufacturing plants.

We are accepting resumes for Mechanical Designers for the Body Equipment Division. These engineers design and manufacture the high-tech equipment and robotics used to weld, paint and assemble automobiles, motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles. Of particular interest is the approach employed by Body Equipment associates: utilizing advanced technology while simplifying equipment.

Responsibilities: Technical investigation, Technical concept development, FEA, Equipment design and detailing using CAD, Project Management (concept to installation), Equipment and Robotic Simulation, Part Requisitioning, Technicial Installation Support.

Essential Functions:
*Work with PC/CAD/CAE software (Windows OS)
*Capability to work under own initiative
*Concept and Design for automated equipment
*Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with peers, management, manufacturing, vendors (global market), and customers.
*Attend and participate in project meetings, give technical presentations, and support project QCDMS analysis.
REQUIREMENTS
Must meet one of the following:
1. Associate Degree - Mechanical or Tool Design & 2+ years Mechanical Design experience.
2. 4+ years Engineering Degree (Mechanical Engineering Design Related)
3. No degree with 6+ years Mechanical Design experience.
