Maintenance Manager / Supervisor

Large Automotive Tier One located in the Charlotte North Carolina Area is looking for a solid Maintenance Manager/Supervisor for their off shift. SUMMARY The Maintenance Manager/Supervisor will supervises and coordinate activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, maintaining grounds, and the equipment by performing the following duties. Places safety and environmental issues as a priority at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Experience with PLC / Ladder Logic for trouble shooting · Electrical Trouble Shooting working with 120V/480V on panels and equipment. · Hydraulic experience / Trouble shooting · Hands on Supervisor · Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. · Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. · Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. · Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. · Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. · Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. · Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. · Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. · Maintains time and production records. · Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. · Performs activities of workers supervised. · Collects and handles solid and hazardous waste generated at the work site and deposits separately in designated containers SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the third shift unit. Directly supervises all non-supervisory personnel within the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED: 1. 3+ years expreince as a Production Supervisor/manager 2. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3. Solid PLC experience 4. Ability to accurately perform math calculations, with or without aid of a calculator; analyze and summarize written numerical information; use ruler, micrometer, calipers, and other physical measuring instruments; ability to read meters, dials, or calibrated scales. 5. Forklift certification required.
