Machinist/Fabricator

This position works in a fast paced team environment to support the design and build of test fixtures and prototype components for both internal and external customers. The successful candidate should have experience working with a broad range of materials including plastics, metals, wood, and fiberglass. Will be required to work closely with on-site technical staff, customers and multiple engineering disciplines, in all facets of the machining and fabrication process.
REQUIREMENTS
AA degree in an applied science such as manufacturing technology or equivalent experience. Journey-level machinist and fabricator with 10 years of strong fabrication experience, including use of traditional machining tools; mills; engine lathes; break-press; shear; CNC equipment; hand tools and MIG and TIG welding equipment. Must be able to interpret specifications and blueprints and understand complex verbal instructions and the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Must have the ability to manage personal workload and the willingness, flexibility, and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands. Competence in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must, and familiarity with CNC and CADD programs and Six-Sigma tools and techniques a plus.
