Facility Manager - Mt. Vernon, OH

As a Facility Manager you will direct the Facilities Management for a unit including engineering, maintenance, custodial, and/or grounds services. You will be responsible for budgeting labor, supplies, equipment and related services/materials required for cost-effective operations. Report daily to the plant manager citing current status of facility infrastructure and pending work. Gives leadership direction and gets feedback from 3 key supervisors in the housekeeping, grounds keeping, and maintenance functional areas. Inspects work daily to spot check the supervisors. Reports routinely to the District Manager regarding key customer relationships and pending contract issues. Acts as a general contractor responsible for the sub-contracted work under the service agreement. Provides monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to the DM and customer as part of the service agreement. Represents ARAMARK Facility Services on a daily basis to the customer's employees and key decision makers.

Job Requirements


Ability to show experience where the individual has kept budget, saved the client (his employer) facility cost, or created value for the customer's real property is a needed evidence of success. Should have a bachelors degree in an engineering discipline which may include electrical, mechanical, civil, industrial, or facilities. Should have exceptional computer skills in all aspects of Microsoft applications on Windows based applications. As a minimum this includes word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and web-enabled software but ideally should include work with databases. Ability to write simple MS Access programs is a big plus. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role. Experience directing skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled trade personnel in an union (UAW) environment is required. The ability to oversee capital projects, maintenance plans, and funding requests is required. Strong financial analysis and interpretation skills and computer skills are necessary. P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable. Must Have the ability to work well under pressure and at a fast pace.



Must have experience with implementation of preventative maintenance programs, as well as evaluation of performance of pumps, motors, control systems and pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical and HVAC. Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience is useful for this role. Experience with optimizing chemical usage, planning and coordination of skilled maintenance employees and oversight of construction and maintenance projects is also required. Must be familiar with MAXIMO and ISO-9000,9001.

In addition, highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills are essential to success in this role. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is also a key success measure. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree within the field of Engineering (and/or requisite industry & management experience) as well as have 5-7 years of facility management experience to include technical knowledge of maintenance of production equipment within an automotive manufacturing environment, cleaning procedures, and building maintenance activities. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role. Experience directing skilled trade personnel in a union environment is required. Strong financial analysis and interpretation skills and computer skills are necessary.
