F&I Director (previous experience required)

Department: Store-Finance & InsuranceDealer: 2341-LEXUS OF CLEARWATERJob Description: Lexus of Clearwater, one of AutoNation's prestigious dealers, has an immediate opening for an experienced F&I Director.The F&I Director directs and supervises all prime and sub-prime financial activity within the dealership as it relates to the financing of a vehicle and the sale of warranty and insurance products.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Coordinates financial transactions between sales associates, sales managers, guests and lenders.
Secure all necessary documents for each transaction - finance contract, title application, insurance verifications, warranty and insurance forms, etc.
Conduct all transactions in a professional, ethical, and honest manner while exhibiting an aggressive, enthusiastic attitude.
Verify all money on each deal at time of delivery - verify tag form, gas fill receipt, and quality commitment form.
Work closely with the Sales Managers to ensure prompt delivery of every makeable deal - minimize customer waiting time.
Instruct salesmen on proper turnover and interaction with the finance department on an on-going basis.
Maintain positive lender relationships.
Communicate necessary paperwork to all lenders to obtain credit approval as quickly as possible.
Conduct regular sales meeting on sales techniques/policies/procedures as related to F & I sales.
Communicate all callbacks to salespeople and Sales Managers immediately.
Monitor the computer system to ensure updated and accurate information.
Train all sales personnel on the merits and presentation of short term leasing
Maximize front gross
Maintain daily sales log of all products sold by vehicle type and F & I income source.
Review problem deals with General Sales Manager/General Manager daily - correct all administrative problems immediately.
Assist GSM in the development of advertising, promotion, incentive, and training plans.
Resolve monthly discrepancies between dealer computed reserves and finance source computed reserves as reported on the financial statement.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Experience: Ideal candidate will have:
Computer literacy.
Ability to train others.
Financial sales skills.
Prior experience in automotive retail sales and/or Financial Services.
Two to three years automotive finance, banking, mortgage or retail credit experience.
Working knowledge of credit process/bureaus.
Strong organizational skillsRequired Education:
