Electrical Controls Engineer, Designer, Project Instrumentation
Wright Industries, a Doerfer Company, is a leading supplier/integrator for custom automated assembly lines. Currently we are seeking experienced Electrical Controls Engineers, Electrical Controls Designers and Controls & Instrumentation Project Engineers for our Nashville, TN facility. Ideal applicants must be able to successfully participate with a team in the concepting, designing, programming, and commissioning of cutting edge automated systems for diverse industries, including: Non-Woven Industrial Fibers, Automotive, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products, Electronic Devices, and Converting Technologies, as well as other industries.
Electrical Controls Engineers – Positions require proven ability to design the electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems based on the mechanical design, customer specifications, and internal standards. Positions require programming experience for PLC’s, Operator interfaces, and SCADA. Further experience in the following is desired: Robotics, Vision System Inspection and Guidance, Databases, SQL, Visual Basic, C#, and C++ in an industrial manufacturing and automation based environment. Specific experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s and Control Logix, Allen Bradley Panel Views, Siemens PLC’s and Drives, Adept Robots, 6-Axis Robots, and Cognex Vision is desired.
Specific Requirements: Applicants should have 7 years experience in implementing PLC and PC based industrial automation control systems. Good communication skills are essential for effective interface with members of the team, customers, and mechanical engineering and assembly teams. Travel is limited as most systems are fully assembled and run production at our facility before shipping. However, some national and international travel is required.
Validation and qualification of automated equipment to the FDA 21CFR regulations using GAMP4 or other methods, including Software Validation, Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) experience is a definite plus. BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science desired.
Electrical Controls Designer - Specific Requirements include 2 years experience utilizing AutoCAD to produce electrical and fluid power design packages: electrical schematics, power distribution, input and output drawings, electrical enclosure layouts, pneumatic valve manifold schematics. AutoCAD Electrical experience is a plus. Good communication skills are essential for effective interface with members of the team, customers, and mechanical engineering and assembly teams. BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science desired
Project Engineer, Controls and Instrumentation - Specific Requirements: Applicants should have 10 years experience in designing PLC, DCS, and PC based process controls including analog systems, piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), power systems, networking, wiring layouts, web control, and coordinated drive systems. Industry experience in Industrial Fibers and Non Woven Fibers required. The position requires at least 5 years leadership experience as the lead engineer in a team environment. This role includes project responsibilities for maintaining the schedule, organization, system functionality to specification, and budget. BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Chemical Engineering desired.
