Development Manager

Manage engineering staff through software development lifecycle for multiple project streams.
Specific focus on best-practice, high-performance analytic solutions for pricing, compensation, product engineering, and channel sales.
Work with Project Management, Quality, Operations, and Production Support.Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for development of quality solutions delivered on-time and on-budget.
Drive teams through comprehensive and relevant solution design, detail design, and production support/operations documentation.
Responsible for all development reviews (design, code, test case) at specific gates of software development lifecycle. Clarify business requirements documentations, test case documentation as necessary. Ensure traceability of all features and functions through all documentation to address approved scope.
Facilitate change control processes as necessary (e.g. - changes to requirements, design, and development).
Budget, assign, and manage resources (personnel, infrastructure) for development and sustaining activities surrounding solution and project portfolio. Create cost estimates for project management, track development plans and activities to milestones.
Interface effectively and communicate appropriately with peer groups in other development teams, project management, production support, operations, and customers.Requirements: 10+ years of relevant technical experience with data driven platforms that deliver reporting or analytic solutions.
5+ years of management experience managing technical staff. Direct functional experience desired.
Ability to size, scope, assess, communicate estimates and then track to commitments.
Strong competency with database technologies (Oracle, ANSI SQL, or comparative).
Experience with transformation technologies (Informatica, PL/SQL, or comparative).
Experience with analytic/reporting technologies (Business Objects, Siebel Analytics, Microsoft Solutions for Analytics or relevant).
Demonstrable leadership experience, problem solving, and communication skills.
BA/BS in relevant field, MA/MS a plus.Desired Knowledge/Skills: Experience with any of the following technology platforms a plus: Callidus TrueComp, Clarify, Rapt/Vendavo/Metreo.Autodesk is always looking for extraordinary people who strive for excellence.
