Development Engineer

Purpose: Aerotek Automotive in Southfield, MI has an immediate opening for a Development Engineer with a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier in Brighton, MI. This is a direct hire position and pay is negotiable pending experience.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
*Develops, evaluates, and improves products design methods
*Analyzes and plans work force utilization and designs layout of products for maximum efficiency
*Confers with other design staff concerning product design
*Confers with customers, vendors and suppliers to determine product specifications; evaluates the prototypes according to product specification and quality standards

Qualified Candidates include:
*BSME or BSEE
*6 months experience
*familiar with DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T
*basic ability to operate CAD
