Controls Engineer, Electrical Software Engineer

Advanced Automation, a Doerfer Company, is a major custom automated assembly line supplier/integrator located in Greenville, SC that is currently looking for an innovative Controls Engineer. This role involves being a team member in the design and implementation of automated control systems for a variety of industries including: automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, consumer products, industrial fibers, process control, and electronic device assembly. A variety of controls platforms are utilized, such as: programmable logic controllers, robots, multi-axis servo systems, machine vision, and PC based systems. Most assembly lines are pre-assembled and tested prior to integration at the customer’s facility. Some domestic and international travel will be required. The applicant should have a Masters Degree or equivalent experience in engineering. Experience in mechatronics, and preferably one of the following areas: control systems, analog systems, or digital signal processing is desired. Object oriented programming principles and finite state machines must be understood and applied using sound software design principles.
