Commodity Manager/Analyst

Successful Global Automotive Supplier is growing and is in need of a Commodity Manager / Procurement Analyst.
Select sources by conducting commodity surveys, interviews, supplier facility surveys and utilizing cross-functional teams, while meeting sourcing initiatives.
Manage specific direct material for steel in the North America market. Analyze and monitor worldwide market trends relative to direct material opportunities.
Perform LCC Market Research as required to achieve cost reduction objectives.
Negotiate and submit recommendations for LTA agreements as required with specific accounts and commodities.
Submit Profit and Strategic Plan information and/or data for specific account responsibilities.
Monitor and report significant issues impacting the profitability, ie: (commodities, supplier issues, market shifts, currency exchange, etc.).
Develop and maintain on-going ethical suppliers relationships that foster a desire to furnish new ideas and promote cooperation on an on-going basis.
Insure direct material is manufactured in accordance within specifications. Coordinate the exchange of technical knowledge regarding product and processing.
Facilitate cross-functional support for strategic sourcing decisions.
Ensure supplier compliance to company and customer quality expectations.
Negotiate the recovery of added value costs related to supplier product deficiencies, warranty and damages.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree required. Minimum of 3-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, or Materials experience.
