Thanks to the rave reviews from our employees, we’ve won multiple ‘ Best Places to Work’ awards in addition to recognition as a ‘ Hot Growth Company’.We are currently seeking a Loan Manager for one of our 8 Orlando area locations.POSITION SUMMARY:The Loan Manager (LM) reports to the Regional Loan Manager and is the manager of an assigned team of Account Representatives in a store or at a collection center. Their main task is to manage the loan collection activities by hiring, training, motivating and monitoring their staff, and by establishing partnerships with other key players such as the General Manager, Inspection Center, Loan Review, and Gilbert Collections Center. They work with the General Manager on significant credit and collections functions including, but not limited to: mechanical issues, unwinds, bounced downs, 1st payment defaults, meet and greets, lot drops, voluntary repossessions.. Their main goal is to provide excellent customer service while controlling charge-offs by controlling delinquency and the accounts which roll over into the Gilbert Collection Center. Responsible for the achievement of dealership goals related to collections including documenting, analyzing, and resolving customer collection issues accurately, promptly and in a professional manner.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and trains Account Representatives so they can be successful in providing excellent customer service while meeting loan servicing goals. People development is the key goal. Monitors and review work of Account Representatives to ensure it is effective, and within Company and Legal policy. This includes using tools such as formal account reviews and side-by-side monitoring in order to create development plans for their staff to address any deficiencies. Work limited queues of loans, as assigned, prior to loans rolling over into Gilbert Collections Center. Monitors work plans, and adjusts staffing levels and mix, and strategies in order to meet goals. Work with GM/SM to set up regularly scheduled meetings with all dealership staff (including the Account Representatives) to discuss, monthly collection targets, BLM performance, celebrate contributions of team members, communicate company-wide changes, and provide open forum for questions and discussion. Review approved loans prior to closing to determine what additional information may be needed to improve our ability to collect the loan. Review any loans closed while not present in the store and contact customer by phone to obtain additional information that is needed to improve our ability to collect the loan. Ensure meet and greets are conducted with all customers, either through an Account Representative, or personally. Conduct “Meet and Greets” by phone of all customers that are delivered when no one is available to do so at the store within 3 working days of the closing. Provide guidance and training in collections related areas to all in-store personnel/Account Representatives, as well as handling manager talk-offs, or elevated calls involving potential collection issues. Work with any customer who is attempting to voluntary surrender, either as a lot drop or when requesting pick up of their vehicle, in an attempt to keep them in the vehicle. Together with the General Manager, recommends accounts for unwinds. Ensure that all lot drops are reported to Remarketing within 24 hrs of arriving at the store. Participates in all unwind and unwind/rewind decisions. Conducts counsels with past due customers as needed via telephone or when customers visit the dealership. Performs other essential functions as assigned. Identifies and recommends methods to improve management and operations of loan/collection administration involving enhanced work processes, increased responsiveness, efficient use of resources and quality service delivery. Recruit, screen, interview, hire, and develop successful Account Representatives. Provide proactive leadership to the team to achieve maximum sales results in a method consistent with DriveTime’s vision and values. Evaluate job performance and give timely, consistent feedback and training as appropriate, based on observations of performance and behavior and the review of performance statistics. Implement and execute all company-wide training initiatives so as to maximize their impact and to help develop successful Account Representatives. Set work schedules to ensure that staffing meets customer volume and that appropriate floor coverage is achieved at all times. Complete and conduct semi-annual performance evaluations.

Travel Percentage: 0%MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Bankruptcy laws, Repossession laws, Sate and Federal collection laws, Regulated lending laws, Consumer laws, Commercial Codes, Impound laws, Immigration laws, Governmental procedures, personnel laws. Knowledge of all facets of collection activities, including when and how to use various collection tools and strategies. Must be self-motivated with strong decision making and problem solving abilities. Skill to manage and train direct reports effectively. Time management skills. Skill to use PC and Microsoft Operating Systems software. Skill to use telephone equipment, with either headset or handset. Skill to work cooperatively with other employees, customers, clients, and other involved parties. Ability to work a flexible schedule evenings and weekends. Ability to recognize financial implications of business decisions and strategy. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meeting deadlines, due dates, commitments and schedules. High School Diploma or equivalent; AND, Three (3) years experience in automotive related collection/credit experience; INCLUDING, One (1) year of supervisory experience. Some underwriting or buying experience preferred, OR, any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. Work involves repetitive motion associated with operating a keyboard and/or 10-key pad with a minimum of physical effort in an office setting.
