CONTROLS / AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Our 'TOP 10' Global Tier One client continues to grow ... Their newest state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Spartanburg, SC will soon supply high quality interior components and trim systems to market-leading OEMs in the southeast automotive corridor.

We have an immediate need for an automation engineer experienced in controls engineering, PLC programming and troubleshooting, and robotic applications in a manufacturing environment. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the:

-support of new product development with robust automation designs for manufacturing processes
-management of cost and timing in all automation projects
-evaluation and documentation of all relevant automation info including back-ups
-support of successful product launches and the CI effort
-compilation and testing of related programs based on specifications involving 3D data, drawings, and equpment

Qualified candidates will have a relevant technical degree in EE, electronics or computer science and 5 to 10 years of experience in PLCs, flexible automation and robotics. Proficiency with Siemens S7 or A/B SLC 5-04, RS Logic 500 Pro, ABB or Fanuc programming and AutoCad is essential.

Must be analytical but creative... possess a strong background in tool development... and be highly self-motivated and directed. Strong project management and people skills are essential. Proficiency with MS Project a plus. Candidates with robotic spray applications will get our immediate attention!
