Our client is an industry leader in automotive interior parts and is currently seeking a bilingual Japanese speaker to carry out Design Engineering using CATIA V5 for their facility in Detroit, MI. Job Description
This position will allow you to utilize your engineering skills designing automotive interior parts. Your Japanese language ability in both written and spoken will allow you to liaise with related companies and the HQ in Japan. This is a great opportunity to open up your career to expansion and more rewarding work. Duties Include:

Support advanced quality documentation OEM businesses, including PFMEA's, APQP requirements, and PPAP. Support design maturation of products for new model including DR, VA/VE, workability and quality improvement, maintain Product File, define design levels and freeze schedule
Participate in cross functional teams to support technical presentations to customers, initial quotations for new business.
Confirmation and release of manufacturing information to assembly facilities for trial and mass production.
Support engineering subcommittees for project planning, tracking and control of new models, and full and minor model changes for OEM business.

Requirements
We are very interested in talking to candidates with the following qualifications:

Must be native level proficient in spoken and written Japanese as well as strong spoken English.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
CATIA V5, IDEAS, SDRC
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
