Our client is a major player in the automotive industry, a rapidly growing and expanding tier 1 supplier.

In this search we are looking for an experienced purchasing professional with raw materials background to focus on buying steel.

Title: Buyer Department: Global Purchasing

Description: Responsible for securing and analyzing quotations and negotiating prices and terms with "steel" suppliers.

Coordinates quality, engineering and price changes between company components and suppliers.

Develops new, qualified supplier contacts. Prepares analytical reports and forecasts.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree.

2 to 4 years of purchasing experience a plus.

Candidate must have strong negotiation skills.

Experience purchasing raw materials (steel) a plus.


Must have strong microsoft office, excel and access skills.

Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

Ability to read prints and drawings helpful.
