Automotive Service Technician - Bilingual / ASE preferred

We are seeking Automotive Service Technician to join our Vehicle Maintenance Assistance (VMA) team in Ft. Lauderdale. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career and apply your automotive or truck knowledge in a friendly business casual office environment.

Automotive Service Technician – ASE Certified


Responsible for responding to incoming calls from drivers and suppliers and resolving inquiries concerning technical and non-technical work.
Provide service assistance and directions.
Negotiate repair prices when appropriate and issue authorizations for valid repairs to lower the client's vehicle maintenance repair costs while ensuring repairs that are essential to the safe operation of the vehicles.

Note: This position is a customer service oriented position and will not provide the opportunity for hands-on vehicle repair in a shop environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
High school education or equivalent.
Minimum of 3+ years hands-on auto mechanic experience. ASE certification highly preferred. Will consider expired ASE Certification or no certification if all other requirements are met and candidate agrees to complete certification. PHH sponsors certification.
•2+ years of customer service or supervisory/management experience
Bilingual – Spanish Speaking
Ability to make decisions using established procedures and company policies as guidelines.
Interpersonal influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong PC skills.
Team player with excellent communication skills who enjoys working with clients and suppliers on a daily basis.
Schedule flexibility is a plus
