Automotive Service Manager

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is searching for a highly motivated and dependable individual for the position of Service Center Manager in our most profitable store.


Valvoline Instant Oil Change is #2 in the quick-lube industry, but is still relatively new to the West Coast. We are a family-owned franchise system in the Central Valley and our customers are thrilled that we are bringing the Valvoline name to them. With over six years under our belt, we are now rapidly expanding. Being a franchise system means we enjoy many of the benefits of a large corporation, without the associated headaches, frustrations and politics.


Although the bulk of our business is oil changes, this is absolutely a customer service business first and foremost. We pride ourselves on being able to handle all preventive maintenance requirements for most vehicles in a fast, friendly, professional manner. Other services we offer such as transmission and radiator flushes, fuel filter replacement, A/C recharging, etc. are simple to perform and, with the help of our first-rate machines, can be done in less than 20 minutes. From our nicely landscaped buildings to our employees and outstanding customer service, we are always striving to be the "Cadillac" of the quick-lube industry. Everything we do is first-class all the way.


If you are a person with very strong leadership skills, this could be the job for you! Management experience is required. An automotive background is preferred, but not necessary. All automotive training you will need is provided in-house. As Service Center Manager, you will work with customers and employees first, cars second. Please send resumes via email only. REQUIREMENTS
Duties for Service Center Manager include:
Performing monthly reviews with all employees
Performing motivational store meetings monthly
Responsible for maintaining a well-trained crew
Accountable for all safety aspects in the service center
Working with a budget to achieve targets
Growing the business and maintaining revenue goals
Maintaining specific ranges of cost of goods and labor expenses
Providing positive feedback and motivation to the crew
Providing consistent and fair discipline
Always leading by example
Taking a pro-active approach to problem solving
Hiring and terminating employees
