Automotive Packaging Designer

The package layout is the framework for automobile design. Candidate will work closely with stylists, modelers and engineers to bring new vehicle concepts to reality. Must be able to arrange the layout of a vehicle such as the location of the basic masses, all critical dimensions (especially those affecting exterior and interior styling and customer usage) and ergonomics (visibility, reach, ingress/egress, comfort). The layouts are then used to create various interior and exterior mock-ups of advanced designs which are proposed and selected for production.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or 2-4 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree is required
Creative drive and ability to generate ideas and proposals are essential.
Must have a basic understanding of project coordination, procedures, techniques and knowledge of automotive mechanisms
Excellent written, organizational and oral communication skills along with a strong ability to resolve problems are required.
