Advise team members and solve unusual maintenance problems by analysis. Acts as Special Maintenance Technical Advisor to the Site or Team Supervisor.Troubleshoot/diagnose, repair, adjust, service, inspect, test and replace power plants/trains, compression ignition engines, compression ignition engine fuel systems, compression ignition air induction systems, vehicle exhaust systems, vehicle liquid cooling systems, vehicle starting systems, vehicle charging systems, chassis electrical systems, standard transmission assemblies, automatic transmission assemblies, air-controlled semi-automatic transmission assemblies, transfer assemblies, propeller shaft assemblies, axle assemblies, drum brake systems, hydraulic brake systems, air/hydraulic brake systems, air (wedge, s-cam) brake systems, mechanical brake systems, vehicle suspension systems, vehicle wheel/hub assemblies, vehicle hydraulic (power) steering systems, fifth wheel assemblies, vehicle crane/hoist/winch assemblies, and material handling equipment (MHE) hydraulic systems). Knowledge of Military Technical Publications, Lubrication Orders and Modification Work Orders. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of employment and be able to operate worked equipment.Must be able to lift fifty pounds unassisted frequently following safety precautions. Works over head, mobile working from ladders and tall structures, reaching under vehicles, laying down and working, crawling, bending, and moving in a full range of motion while operating tools and machinery to repair vehicles and other wheeled equipment. Lifting foot to waist and working in extreme temperatures. Prolonged walking and standing, squatting and climbing. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements: At least 3-5 years of experience working in the automotive field. Prior military will need to submit copy of their DD214 or verification of their military experience.
