Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing Instructor #00727

Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses. Assist with developing course outlines, and reports. Prepare individual lesson plans. Record attendance, assess and record student achievement, note and discus strengths and weaknesses and listens to student problems. Prepare and administer appropriate tests. Develop, maintain and/or revise program and course materials. Advise students as to course scheduling and career guidance as appropriate. Control and assist in assigned student activities. Participate and support professional organizations, institutional committees and activities, clinics and seminars.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: Requires Associate’s degree or Vocational Certificate in closely related field and ASE Certifications in Auto Collision. A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the Associate degree or Vocational Certificate. I-CAR Certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have a knowledge of areas of discipline to be taught; ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with students, colleagues and supervisors; ability to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally through oral and written communications; commitment to the community college mission, innovative and effective teaching, sustained and significant professional development, and service to the College; computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

Rank: Appointment level to any faculty position is dependent upon qualifications and experience: Probably level of appointment is Instructor to Associate Professor.

Salary: Faculty salary for nine month contract is $36,600 - $41,000 depending on education and experience. The College also provides a comprehensive benefits package.

Tenure and Promotion: Tenure and promotion are dependent upon the development of a professional portfolio.
